Affordable Home Style Dog Boarding in GTA - $50 a day

Need a reliable dog sitter? Working long hours or traveling out of town?
Look no more! You just found your Dog's home away from home. We are affordable, experienced, reliable and flexible.

We are a family of two who love animals of all kinds especially dogs. We have been fostering animals and cared for family and friends pets for many years. Over that time, we have looked after dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and turtles.

My name is Silvia. I have been a dog trainer for more than 25 years. I taught both group dog training classes and private classes. I also have experiences with behavior modification for dogs. I also had some basic dog training in search and scent tracking. I learned about dog psychology and reading dog behaviors from Mike McConnery, owner of Baden K9 Tactical School, who trains working service dogs to families, military, law enforcement agencies, security firms. I currently work full time as an orthopedic researcher for McMaster University. My partner's name is Alex. Alex works full time as a marketing architect. We are both in our late 30’s. We both work from home about 4 out of 5 days a week pre-covid and work from home 100% of the time post-covid. We can board house trained dogs during the week, or Friday to Sunday and statutory holidays.

We are the proud pet parents of Heidi, our lovable 2 yrs old female golden retriever. She is fun loving and enjoys furry visitors.

We live in an apartment in Burlington and are surrounded by many pet lovers in our quiet neighborhood. Our location is perfect for walks surrounded by parks and other great outdoor areas for your dogs. We are very close to Kerns Park where there are lots of walking paths for dogs. There are also a few large off leash areas closely. We take the dogs out for long walks 4 times a day: in the morning, noon, 5-6pm and 10-11pm. We do not have any areas in the apartment that are carpeted or otherwise pet-unfriendly. There are lots of space to move around and explore. Cuddling on the couch is a favourite of our furry visitors after a romp outside in the fresh air. Your dog will have the run of our apartment and is welcome to cuddle up wherever they would like. They will be a family guest in our home and receive lots of attention. We can provide lots of photo updates during your dog’s stay with us.

The goal of our training session to successfully reach a set expectation of the owner's grasp of training techniques and a better understanding of the dog’s psychology instead of a set time. We will train as long as it takes (within reason) to reach a sessional goal in order to have substantial behavioral improvements. The We also offer house call training subject to our availability. There are extra charges for our travel to your house - calculated as number of KM to our location x $2. We do not work with dangerous dogs (severely aggressive/biting).
